Foster families help children in crisis situations have a loving, stable home. Foster care has been a part of Catholic Charities’ work since our inception, growing naturally from the belief that every child has the right to the love, protection and care of a capable and committed family.

Rio Bend Foster Care Community

Catholic Charities offers a suburban, 30-acre community of families that provide a loving and nurturing home for up to 64 refugee children and minors in Children’s Protective Services custody. We work with foster parents to provide their foster children with strong family connections, positive experiences and a loving childhood. We provide Rio Bend children with education, medical care, life skills training, mentoring, therapeutic recreation, independent living and vocational skills as well as special services, such as English classes, ongoing family tracing and legal assistance.
